We want to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, from John and Sandy and Don and Mary Lou.  Thank you to everyone that travels with us.  See you next year!

APOLOGY:   Last week, when we listed the names of those who help at the South County Food Pantry, the names of Charlotte Alex and Helen Tebbets were omitted.   If any others who help were not listed, we thank them, too.

SINGING CHRISTMAS TREE:   The program at the Baptist Church in Sarasota was enjoyed by 75 residents of the Club.   "Goodie Bags" were given to each one of us by VIP Travel, and we thank them.   We also thank our Travel Committee for setting up this program for us.

ENTERTAINMENT COMMITTEE:   On Wednesday evening, we heard a superlative program in our clubhouse.   "The Memories", a trio, presented the first part.   This was followed by tenor Paul Pitts accompanied by Sammy Lane at the piano.   Elizabeth Rose Pitts, daughter of Paul Pitts also favored us with some delightful singing.   She is 13 years old and, in the 8th grade and has a beautiful voice.   As Pat Cavalier said, "If you didn't attend this program, you missed a wonderful evening."   So, watch for the announcement of the next program planned by the Entertainment Committee - and plan to attend.   This committee works hard to bring us good programs!

WELCOME NIGHT:   Mark your calendar now and plan to attend Welcome Night, on Wednesday evening, January 12.   This is when we welcome our residents, who have purchased homes at the Club within the past year.   More details later.

THOUGHTS:   Christmas is FAST approaching.   Seems like time goes faster and faster.   Yesterday felt like the holidays up north.   Our auto thermometer registered 31 degrees at 6:45 AM.
Just a thought about ALL those who volunteer to help at the Club.   Your name may not be mentioned individually, but we do appreciate all the work that is done.   Have a good week.       --SJB
