There will be a KGC Town Hall Meeting on Monday, July 26th at 10:00 a.m. in the Clubhouse, to discuss the condition of the lake and the algae accumulation that is occurring. All interested persons should attend. Thanks, Charles
HEALTHLINE: Irene Bette is recuperating from knee replacement surgery at Manor Care, Room 128, 1450 E. Venice Ave., Venice, FL 34292. She's been there since July 16 and hopes to go home by July 30. She is doing well, and visits, cards, and prayers would be appreciated.
ROAD REPAIR UPDATES: Superior Asphalt out of Bradenton, FL planned to begin repairing inverts on the roads on Thursday, July 22nd. This work was scheduled to be finished the next day, Friday, July 23rd.
Asphalt Restoration Technology Systems (ARTS) is scheduled to begin the restoration work on August 30th and expects to complete the project by Friday, September 3rd. Each section of road that is treated must be allowed to cure for at least 24 hrs. before driving on it.
The asphalt restoration work will require planning and patience by the staff and the residents. The office will publish the detailed schedule of work as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please let the office know.
VIDEO ROOM: New DVD added, "Bounty Hunter" with Jennifer Aniston. Also, donated to the library: "Bend It with Beckham". Have had pretty good luck with people NOT keeping the DVD's out too long, but we still have some missing. I took the cards with me to see if I can contact that person, but as you KNOW most will say, "OH I TOOK IT BACK OR I NEVER HAD IT!!" I just keep truckin' along. --Jean Ickes

ROUND TABLE TREASURER, Linda Varty, will be on vacation from July 12 to the 30th. Martha Hicks will be taking care of the treasurer's duties during that time. Any requests for reimbursement should be left in Linda's box in the office.

Tickets will be on sale Sat. 7/24 and 7/31 for $3 per person. Strawberry or Blueberry Shortcake will be served by the cast. The Clubhouse will be transformed into the "Mystery of the Sea" so we can all enjoy Captain Stubling's Cocktail Party aboard ship.
