LIBRARY NOTES:   Two donations this week:
Promise the Moon by Elizabeth Joy Arnold - A woman comforts her children's loss of her husband Josh with notes she writes in her husband's name, only to find out that her daughter has been speaking to him, divulging only stories that Josh could know. As they search for the truth, they discover just how much of a hero Josh actually was.
Dark Tide - The Great Boston Molasses Flood of 1919 by Stephen Puleo.  A 50 foot-tall steel tank filled with 2.3 million gallons of molasses collapsed on Boston's waterfront, disgorging its contents as a 15 foot-high wave of molasses that at its outset traveled at 35 miles an hour.  It demolished homes, even a brick fire station.  The number of dead wasn't known for days.  This is an account of some of the people caught up in the flood and how some survived or died in this fascinating and surreal disaster.       ---Barb Tompkins

SYMPATHY:   Ray Dievendorf, former resident of KGC, passed away October 30, 2008.   He leaves his loving wife Lois of 46 years.   He also leaves his daughter, three stepdaughters, seven grandchildren, and eight great grand children.   Services will be held at a later date.   Send any condolences to Lois Dievendorf, 900 Tamiami Trail South #201, Venice, FL 34285.

SYMPATHY:   I am sure many of you remember my beloved in-laws, Howard and Agnes Darbee, long time residents of KGC.
Two years after the death of Agnes, Howard married Doris, also a long time KGC resident. They had endured many hardships and loss in their lives and they were delighted to spend those years together. I was delighted for them.   Howard passed away 4 1/2 years ago.
It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my step mother-in-law Doris Darbee, on October 30, 2008 in Dover, Ohio.
I am sure there is much joy in Heaven.   I miss Agnes and Howard everyday and I know I will miss Doris in the same way.       Love, Shirley Darbee
