TRAVEL:   First trip of the 2008-2009 season, we are off to Hard Rock Casino, Tuesday October 7th, 2008, bus leaving at 8:30 a.m. and return by 4:30 p.m.   You will have round-trip transportation, $25.00 in free play and a $5.00 food voucher, drivers tip included.   Cost $25.00 per person.   You may use your player cards or pay the difference if you want the Fresh Harvest Buffet, or eat in the Green Room or the fast food court.

MEDICAL FORMS:   I must have a new updated form returned in SMALL ENVELOPES ONLY.   If you have not had any medical changes just date the envelope I have on file, THIS IS A MUST IF YOU TRAVEL WITH KING'S GATE CLUB, IT IS FOR YOUR OWN PROTECTION.

TREE TRIMMING:   The trimming started on September 2, 2008.   If you haven't signed up as yet, there is still time.   Just about "ALL" the trees need trimming this time of the year.       --- Rich Davis

FORMER RESIDENT NEWS:   Former resident Jane Haggarty had open heart surgery on September 4th.   She is making excellent progress and will go to a rehabilitation center.   She would enjoy hearing from you.   Jane Haggarty, 1395 Massachutes Ave., Apt. 43, Arlington, MA 02476.

FORMER RESIDENT NEWS:   The family of Marge Hufford would like to thank everyone who expressed their sympathies and condolences upon her passing in July.  All of your words meant so much.
They would like to invite all to Celebrate her Life at a Memorial Service on September 21, at 2:00 p.m. at the Venice-Nokomis United Methodist Church.   They would also like to greet you afterwards at a reception in the Fellowship Hall.
The Women's Society at the Venice-Nokomis United Methodist Church would be very interested in the possibility of some of the King's Gate ladies making cookies for the reception in the Fellowship Hall.   If you are interested in helping with this please contact Mary Lou Richmond 484-6807.

FORMER RESIDENT NEWS:   Dick Bartlett, formerly of King's Gate Club, passed away Tuesday September 9th.   A viewing will be Sunday September 14th from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 East High Street, Mt Vernon, OH  43050.   Cards may be sent to daughter Dixie and son Jack at Dixie Bartlett, 160 Spring Lake Hills Drive, Altamante Springs FL 32714.   Charitable contributions may be made to your local hospice in Dick's name.

FORMER RESIDENT NEWS:   John Galuba, formerly of King's Gate Club, passed away on the 6th of September 2008 in Home Freedom Plaza Sun City.   No other information available at this time.
