EXPRESSION OF SYMPATHY:   Shirley Prchaska, a former resident, passed away Monday, July 21, 2008.   There are no details at this time.   Cards can be sent to her daughter, Barbara and Bill Balk, 2216 Edward Lane, Mora, Minnesota 55051.

CONDOLENCES:   We offer our sincerest condolences to the family of Marge Hufford, 314 Castle Dr. who passed away July 13th.   She leaves her daughter, Alana and son, William.   She also leaves a daughter-in-law, two grandsons and a great-grandson. Cards and remembrances may be mailed to her daughter Alana Hufford, 4175 Brittany Lane, Sarasota FL 34233.   Memorial services are pending for September.   Memorials may be sent to Venice-Nokomis United Methodist Church, 208 Palm Ave., Nokomis, FL  34275-3056 or the student exchange program AFS Intercultural Programs, 71 W. 23rd St., 17th floor, New York, NY  10010-4102.

SATURDAY MORNING TIME AND LOCATION CHANGE:   The Saturday Morning meetings will be on the KGC Patio.   The Coffee/Social will meet as usual at 8:15 a.m. and the Round Table Meeting will be at 8:45 a.m. instead of the usual time of 9:00 a.m.   This change is in effect until further notice.

NEWSLETTER CHANGE:   Send all articles for the newsletter to Jessica Prentice until August 2, 2008.   Handwritten items can be left on clip at #180 Princess Ave.   can be sent to prentice@canton.edu.   NO phone calls please.   Thank you.

GATE CLOSING:   The Front Gates will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 5:00 p.m. daily.   This schedule will continue until further notice.

Dec. 10, 2008 (Wednesday)   -   TOMMY O   He has a wonderful voice.   His nickname is "Elvirotti" which implies his vast range from Elvis to Pavarotti.
Jan. 21, 2009 (Wednesday)   -   Pizzazz American Style, formerly Classic Pizzazz.   Brian Gurl, pianist, Lenny Ski, violinist plus a rhythm section.
Feb. 18, 2009 (Wednesday)   -   Sahib Shrine Banjo Band of Sarasota.   The Banjo Band is composed of 15 musicians with good music and comedy.   All proceeds will go to the Shrine Hospital.
March 25, 2009 (Wednesday) Cahal Dunne   -  A man with many talents.   A vocalist, pianist, comedian and much more.   If you are Irish you will love him and if you aren't you will love him anyway.

I have scheduled 2 buses for each of the above shows, slight increase in prices since Broadway Palm and buses have increased prices, hopefully the gas will not go up any more.
