HEALTHLINE: Marge Havey, 294 Ave. of Kings, fell and is recuperating at her home. Prayers and cards are welcomed.
LIBRARY NEWS: I will be leaving the library in the capable hands of Sandy Crawford and Jackie Barker for the next 2 months. Any problems or questions please see them.
Thanks to all families who have donated books to the library and fair. If you see boxes being stored under the pool tables, it is because of the generosity of those who have donated to our fair. The library and custodial staff do not have the keys to put them in the storage area, and must wait for the Fair crew to take them over. We appreciate your patience. So many books to read and so little time to do it. Your Bookie, Barb Tompkins
TREE TRIMMING: The tree trimmers will be here again around the last of August or beginning of September. Prices start at $15.00. Please sign up in the office early so we can make the "Route" for the Clean Cut Tree Service. Please E-mail - Rich Davis at email@example.com - P.S. Everyone's trees need to be trimmed at this time of year for hurricane season. Thanks, Rich
VISITORS: Last week my brother and his wife from Dallas, Texas, visited with us at KGC. We were well aware of their visit as it was planned. But when they arrived on a Saturday for a 10 day stay, I forgot to register them at the office. I was tardy and it wasn't until Friday that I did so. Then I spent another two hours looking for the "Visitor" car pass that we had been issued. We enjoyed having our visitors and they very much enjoyed using our facilities and loved KGC. SO, King's Gaters consider your responsibility to register your guests at the office before or soon after their arrival. It is important for the office to "KNOW WHO IS HERE". Resident, Nip Barker, 217
GUIDE DOGS: We have a new addition to our family. On April 21, 2008 at the kennels, KGC-DUCHESS was born. She is a "Goldador" which is a cross with a Golden Retriever and a Yellow Labrador. At nine weeks she was placed with her Puppy Raiser, Leigh Anne Novak, and is living in Sarasota. Next week Duchess will be 12 weeks old. "Baron" is now almost 9 months and growing into a fine dog when I spoke with Lorraine last week. It is very unusual for SEGD to have two puppies with one sponsor at the same time. A new scrapbook with pictures will be started soon for Duchess. We are looking forward to a visit to KGC by both "Baron" and "Duchess" this fall. Nip & Jackie Barker
