SANTA'S COMING to the Christmas Party, Thursday, Dec. 17th, after the 6 PM, KGC Golf Cart Parade!   Reminder: if you would like Santa to hand out gifts to your grandchildren, please bring the gifts (with the child's name) to the clubhouse, before the parade.       ---George Agricola

HEALTHLINE:   Jeanne Steele, 302 Avenue of Dukes, fell on Sunday going into a restaurant and broke her pelvic bone.   She is in Sunset Lake Rehab, 832 Sunset Lake Blvd, Venice, 34292. Due to Jim Steele having Alzheimers, he is in Sunset Lakes Nursing facility at the same address.   Your prayers and cards would be appreciated.       ---Irene Bette

CABLENEWS:   The operators of Cablenews will be alternating for the next several weeks.   Therefore, please remember to use the website - cablenews@kgc.cc and the clip on the sound room door at the foot of the stage entrance in the Clubhouse.   Dee Hicks, Don Richmond & Charlie Fote will be alternating, until my return in January.   We have been trying the new website and the clip on the door in the Clubhouse for several weeks, and it seems to be working very well.   This system allows us to change operators without any interruption in bringing you the latest notices on TV Channel 117 or 795.       ---Barb Amatrudo

MEMORIAL COMMITTEE:   I just want to thank everyone that attended mass and the luncheon for the Porzio Family.   Everyone showed their love to Mary and her family and how much Bud was really loved.   I can't begin to thank everyone that helped with this affair.   Special thanks to Fr. Steve for the service and prayers at the hall, Tom Hicks for the sound system, to all the wonderful ladies that baked, everyone that helped get the food out and organized, everyone that helped with clean up.   I may get it organized, but without all the help, these things could not just happen.   I personally want to thank each and everyone one of you.   We served about 230 guests.   Thank you for making this such a success.       ---Mary Lou Richmond, Memorial Committee Chairman.

REGATTA SEASON for 2010 begins this Sunday, Dec.13th, at 1:30 PM.   As an experienced boat owner, there are some items of interest you should be aware of, for the coming season.   Charge the batteries, dust off the shelf dirt, and for some, you have to un-package them; admire them even more out of the box, and anticipate the challenges ahead of you.   Just like in past years, we expect a large turnout of boisterous crowds.   The grill will be heated up, ready to serve our hot dogs and goodies, for this anticipated event.   All are invited to come and enjoy a relaxing afternoon, "at the pool".       ---Commodore Jerry Becker

ATTENTION - WANNABE GUITAR PLAYERS:   If you are interested in learning to play the guitar, please attend a meeting which will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 15, at 9 AM, in the Activities Room.   If you don't have a guitar, we will discuss how to obtain one at that meeting.       ---Ron Carpenter

Dec. 12th.   $7.00 each, tax included.       ---Emil and Shirley DePasquale

ORCHIDS:   To John Schleicher, who walks around the Club each morning and is again delivering the Herald Tribune to our doors.   We really appreciate it, John!

MUSIC APPRECIATION:   Thanks to Alan and Rosemary Holdway for a delightful evening last Saturday.   The music was delightful and of course Andre Rieu's Christmas video was special.   Snacks were enjoyed, too.   Alan says next Music Appreciation evening will be in late January.

THOUGHTS:   As I write this on Wednesday evening, I think back over the day.   And it was a sad day, as along with a large contingent of Club members, we attended the services celebrating the life of Bud Porzio.   Bud was very active in many of the activities of the Club, but I will especially always remember him as he and Mary ran the Pizza and Horse Races evenings, and on Saturday mornings when he ran 50/50 - "Bud Time."   Bud had a great personality and was always smiling - thereby making us all feel good.   And, Mary, you'll be in our thoughts and prayers.       ---SJB
