MOVIE for Wednesday, May 12th will be Benjamin Button, rated PG 13. This is an adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic tale, set in the early 20th century, that follows Benjamin Button (Brad Pitt), a man who was born in his 80s and continually grows younger. The story throws linear conventions upside down to explore love, loss and memories from the perspective of a character living under incredibly unique, and unexpectedly difficult, circumstances. Cate Blanchett co-stars in this Oscar nominee for best picture. Movie at 7:00 PM. Documentary on Manatees before. -- Arlene

TRAVEL: We have returned from our Bermuda cruise and have lots of good memories. Thanks to everyone who traveled with us. Hopefully, you have met some new friends and have fun looking back on our trip. The Porzio's were royalty on the ship. I think the head Maitre D, Vincenzo Porzio, was related to our Bud and treated them with extra wine, cheese trays and chocolate strawberries. We were very happy for Bud and Mary and for the folks that shared the table with them. The entertainment was excellent, and the ship was beautiful but no place like home.
Sept. 2009 Cruise: Best of the Baltic with Princess Cruises, two nights in Denmark, as well as Scandinavia, Russia and Oslo, Norway. All details are on the web page and the travel board in the clubhouse. We have 30 scheduled to travel with us, and we would love to have you join us. Please give it some consideration.
Feb. 20-27, 2010: Oasis of the Sea, one of the newest and largest ships; it offers a zip line, skating rink, ice shows, water shows and a real experience on the Royal Caribbean ship. For more information, check the travel board and the web page www.kgc.cc; click on the ship. Our ports are St.Thomas, St. Maarten and Nassau, Bahamas, but on this cruise you can just enjoy the ship - you don't have to leave it.
