HEALTHLINE:   Richard Clark of 316 Castle Drive had a stroke last week and is still in Venice Hospital. Please do not send cards yet - - - Penny Sweitzer is home now and feeling better - - - Don't forget our King's Gate "Buddy System". If you have a new neighbor, explain it and offer to be a buddy, so that everyone's safety will be more secure.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU:   How can I say thank you for all your cards, letters, prayers, and phone calls.  It is great to have so many wonderful friends who continuously support me in helping me get well from a ruptured appendix, peritonitis and complications.  Believe me, I'm working on it, and we will see you at KGC soon, I hope.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who sent condolence cards to us on the passing of our son.  We were never quite aware how much cards and good wishes meant until we were on the receiving end, but we sure do now.  We'll be returning the end of the year.  See you at the New Year's Eve Party.

CHRISTMAS HOME DECORATING COMPETITION:   Awards will be presented after the Golf Cart Parade on Mon., Dec. 22nd.

CHRISTMAS EVE LUMINARIES:   Following the meeting we will assemble Luminaries.  It takes approximately one hour if enough people participate.  Hope to see you there!   Luminaries will be delivered to your home.  Please put them in a dry place until Christmas Eve and then set them by the street and light them at dusk (around 5:30 PM).

GOLF CART PARADE COMPETITION:   On Monday, Dec. 22, at 5:30 PM, bring your decorated golf cart to the cul-de-sac on Castle Drive between unit # 22 and #23.  Prizes will be awarded in the Clubhouse after the parade.  If you're not riding a golf cart, come watch the parade and then enjoy Santa and Mrs. Claus and refreshments in the Clubhouse.  For details call George Ray 484-8078.

SANTA CLAUS:   Santa will be in the clubhouse on the 22nd after the golf cart parade. Please bring a wrapped gift with name, age and grandparents' names to Santa's house, 265 Camelot Drive. Please do not leave gifts in the clubhouse.           Thank you - Mrs.Santa (aka Shirley)

THANK YOU:   Ann Kellum invited the King's Gate Club Solos to her home on Sunday night for a get-together.  It was a feast you couldn't imagine.  After a while when everyone had their fill of food and drink, Ann got their attention that this was to thank me for heading up the Solos each month and presented me with a gift.  Thank you very much, Ann, for this party and thank you Solos for being a part of it.  It was just great.            --- Dick Bartlett

YOGA:   There's a sign up sheet on the bulletin board for a new Yoga Class starting January 7, 2004.  This class will be on Wednesdays from 4:00 - 5:00 PM.  The cost for the six weeks class is $24.00 payable in advance and is non-refundable.  If you are new to Yoga, you will need to purchase a Sticky Mat for the class.  Men are welcome.  Each class is limited to 20 people.  Any questions, please contact Jean Ickes at 488-8967.

KGC TRAVEL has scheduled Sunday matinee shows at the "Broadway Palm Dinner Theater " in Ft. Myers.  Bus round trip, buffet luncheon, show, taxes and tips - $52 each.  Please book before deadline. 50 seats are reserved.
