THANKS TO EVERYONE for the outpouring of sympathy to me and to my family on the occasion of Pat's death.  We received food and tons of cards, and the attendance during visitation hours and the closing memorial service was huge and heartwarming for me and for my family.        --- Hank Baxter

SOMETHING NEW!   KGC has been presented with a new, fringed flag and eagle courtesy of the Tri-County Ex POW Chapter via George Holden, 251 Camelot Drive.  It is now on stage at our clubhouse.  George was a B-17 Bomber Pilot over Europe during WWII and was taken prisoner by the Germans after bailing out of his bomber.  Thanks to George for the new flag.            --- Vince Caudy, Vets Chairman

"SARASOTA SOUND WAVES" this coming Wed., Dec. 17th.   We will miss the Ditchfields this year, but this fine group may become a new Christmas tradition at KGC.   Tickets on sale this morning for $6.50 each.    NOTE:   Program starts at 7:00 PM.                  --- Dave Westbrook

CHRISTMAS HOME DECORATING COMPETITION:  Judging Fri. - Sun., Dec. 19 - 21. Awards after Golf Cart Parade on Mon., Dec. 22nd.

KGC SNOWSTORM:   We will be making "Snowflakes" from paper tubes Monday, December 15, at 1:00 PM in the Craft Room for the Snowball Dance/Party January 28th.  All helping hands welcome!  Please sign up on bulletin board (under Special Events) so we'll know how many people to expect.   Questions, call Linda Varty or Pat Cavalier.

GOLF CART PARADE COMPETITION:  Dec. 22nd at dusk.   Assemble at south cul-de-sac on Castle Drive (between unit # 22 and #23).   Decorate your golf cart and join the parade!   Prizes will be awarded in the Clubhouse after the parade.   If you're not riding a golf cart, come watch the parade and then enjoy Santa and Mrs. Claus and refreshments in the Clubhouse.   For details call George Ray 484-8078.

SANTA CLAUS:   Santa will be in the clubhouse on the 22nd after the golf cart parade. Please bring a wrapped gift with name, age and grandparents' names to Santa's house, 265 Camelot Drive. Please do not leave gifts in the clubhouse.           Thank you - Mrs.Santa (aka Shirley)

NEW YEAR'S EVE:   Tickets for New Year's Eve will be available until the limit of 160 tickets is sold.  Tickets are $25.00 per person.  So come and enjoy the dance, delicious hors d'oeuvres and the continental breakfast after midnight.  Table #5 has been reserved for Solos.            ---  Ben & Lorraine Quirion

YOGA:   There's a sign up sheet on the bulletin board for a new Yoga Class starting January 7, 2004.  This class will be on Wednesdays from 4:00 - 5:00 PM.  There will also be another class on Tuesdays from 3:45 - 4:45 PM, but it is already full.  The cost for the six weeks class is $24.00 payable in advance and is non-refundable.  If you are new to Yoga, you will need to purchase a Sticky Mat for the class.  Men are welcome.  Each class is limited to 20 people.  Any questions, please contact Jean Ickes at 488-8967.

MAIL BOX REMINDER:   Residents are requested to paint mailboxes that are not black, per Rule #27 which states:   Each unit owner shall provide and maintain their own mailbox which shall be black with a red flag.  Replacements shall conform to the style, size, and construction of the mailboxes currently in use in King's Gate Club and shall be labeled in accordance with U.S. Postal Regulations, if any.           --- Mike Mooney, Manager

KGC TRAVEL has scheduled Sunday matinee shows at the "Broadway Palm Dinner Theater " in Ft. Myers.  Bus round trip, buffet luncheon, show, taxes and tips - $52 each.  Please book before deadline.   Fifty seats are reserved.
