Music is ranked high among the arts of human communication. Since the dawn of Man it continues to evolve, change and for most of us is a significant, positive and enjoyable part of our lives. Music is a chronicle of human emotion and like art and literature, music reflects life.
We are so fortunate to live in a time, thanks to technology, where we have a choice such as no previous age has enjoyed.
We are delighted to host one evening during each of the months of November, January, February, March and April in the Clubhouse, usually on a Saturday Evening from 7-9 pm, depending upon Clubhouse availability. Tea, Coffee & Lemonade will be provided, feel free to bring snacks/finger food to enjoy during the intermission.
Please check on Ch 33 and the KGC Newsletter for the latest dates and times.
With the truly outstanding Sound System we have in our Clubhouse, thank you Wayne Anderson, we can be transported to another World as we enjoy Music from the Greatest Composers and their works played by the premier Orchestra's and Musician's in the World.
Unfortunately, for many of us, we either don't have or make the time to truly listen and immerse ourselves into music, invariably its "In the background" We endeavour to paint a picture of the Composer's life and times, what the music is intended to convey and details about the Orchestras and Musicians. In each of these evenings we shall play a wide range of classical music and moods but primarily focused on "Mainstream/Light" vs. "Heavy Duty" Requests and recommendations are welcome.
As the old bard ... Bill Shakespeare ... said in his Twelfth Night ...
If Music be the food of Love, play on
Come join us and bring your friends
